CF+T: What advice do you have for someone remodeling a space with tile?

JZ: The best advice I can offer to someone remodeling a space is to do plenty of research. There are many sources today and the market is very competitive. I’d also like to add that when making selections be very sure of what you want and know the reasons why you are making the choice your making.

CF+T: Which are your favorite tile styles and why?

JZ: My personal favorite styles are concrete looks with a smooth and refined finish. I really like the modern sophisticated looks.

CF+T: Which are the best sources of tile inspiration in the Portland area?

JZ: The best sources I believe for tile inspiration in the Portland area are your local tile showrooms such as Classique Floors + Tile and various home and remodeling shows.

These are where you’ll find knowledgeable designers, sales staff and installers who will share their experiences in the industry with curious and motivated shoppers.

Tile is the fastest growing sector in floor covering currently. Homeowners want to remodel with tile and as communities in the Portland area grow, we are seeing that tile is becoming the go-to surface material for customers seeking value and style for their walls and floors.

CF+T: Thank you, John! We enjoyed learning more about American Olean and Marrazzi Tile and look forward to asking you about tile projects.
