As you may know, the Classique Floors + Tile showroom is located in the Central Eastside District. The beauty of that location is that it means that you get the benefit of a wonderful assortment of decor and design-focused stores and showrooms. In fact, together we represent the Central Eastside Design District. We regularly collaborate on design events to inspire and engage visitors in unexpected ways. Fall Design District Event: Weekend on Water Avenue, September 22-24, 2023
September saw the Fall Design District Event showcasing many of the incredible design resources and local businesses within the Central Eastside. The event is called Weekend on Water Ave and took place from September 22 through 24, and the main sponsor was Travel Oregon.
The hub of this event is the 3000 sq ft space in the Water Avenue Building that was transformed into a curated interior space using furniture, textiles, paint, etc. from local Design District businesses along with space for vendors to distribute marketing materials and connect with attendees. The space also had special events for the PDX design community with the launch of Willamette Week’s new Nester magazine.
Finally, the Central Eastside Design District hosted a Design District Block Party in collaboration with Portland Flea on the corner of SE Yamhill and Water Avenue featuring local organizations, businesses, and vendors.

El Dia de los Muertos
Coinciding with the Dia de los Muertos, Portland’s Milagro Theater Company hosted a District Wide Altar Bike Tour for the Dia de los Muertos celebration, with a stop scheduled at Classique Floors + Tile for the beautiful altar built by Marybelle “Marbe” Olea and our own artist, Kristina McClanahan.
